MusicLoveAcademy (formerly Dolly Jones Music Studio) is a community of talented and dedicated music teachers who are excited and passionate about teaching what they love! Music is in the very rhythm of our beating hearts, and outside of the studio we have the education and professional performance experience which sets us apart. Our staff has a combined 100+ years of music experience in styles ranging from classical to rock, to bluegrass, Broadway and beyond. We are artists who are most passionate about instilling that love of music into our students. Weather your goal is to sing on a Broadway stage or around the piano at Sunday brunch with your family--we're here to walk beside you and encourage you on your musical journey, no matter where you're coming from or where you're headed.

Christina Raczka

Woodwinds - Studio Manager

Christina Raczka is an active flutist and educator throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Originally from New Jersey, she relocated to Virginia in order to pursue graduate studies with Jonathan Snowden, former principal flutist of the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Christina recently earned a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree from Shenandoah Conservatory, where she also worked as the flute studio teaching assistant. She has taught in a wide variety of settings including private lessons, small group instruction, and even as a middle school band director. Christina looks forward to growing her private studio and seeking out new performance opportunities. She is especially excited for her new role as Studio Manager at MusicLoveAcademy!


Chen Liang


Chen Liang is a Chinese born-pianist who lives in the D.C. area. She received her bachelor’s degree from Wuhan Conservatory of Music, and she moved to Washington, D.C, in 2015. She completed her graduate studies at the Catholic University of America.

During this period, she worked at CUA as a studio accompanist, and she studied with Dr. Ivo Kaltchev, the chair of the piano department in CUA. As an active performer and collaborative pianist, she has brought her music to many cities in China and the United States, including Wuhan, Shanghai, Beijing, New York, Washington D.C., and Virginia.

Chen Liang is graduating this spring with a Doctor of Music degree in piano performance from Shenandoah Conservatory where she studies with Dr. Alexander Bernstein.


George Bowerman


GEORGE BOWERMAN has performed across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic US, internationally in Canada and Ireland, and has been featured as solo performer at Manhattan's 57th street Steinway Hall, the Clark Art Institute, Newport’s Belcourt Castle, the Sevenars Music Festival, Gallery 963 in New Haven, at the Heliconian Club in Toronto, Ontario, and on the Calvin J. Mathias Recital Series in Philadelphia. He has also enjoyed presenting recitals at retirement homes and hospice centers, as well as fundraising concerts on behalf of scholarship and arts programs, charities, and international non-profit organizations. 


George’s playing has been praised for its “unfettered, joyous abandon,” and for performances filled “with passion and fervor” (Masslive of the Springfield Republican).


He is a recent graduate of the Master’s Program in Piano Performance at Shenandoah Conservatory, where he studied with internationally renowned performer and pedagogue John O’Conor. Additional principal mentors include Ellen Buoniconti, Jennifer Blyth, Samuel Hsu, Christina Petrowska Quilico, and Jamie Parker. 

George is currently on faculty as a Teaching Fellow in piano at Shenandoah Conservatory, and has offered private teaching to all age levels for over a decade. His teaching style focuses on the development of a sound technique, but always in service to artistic expression and beauty, and the unique individuality of each student.

Noah Hardaway


 Hailed as “ter-RIF-ic!” by Sir Richard Rodney Bennett, pianist Noah Alden Hardaway is forging a multifaceted concert career as far afield as Spain, Sardinia, and Lithuania, as well as Canada and the United States. This “pianist of extraordinary talent” (Chestnut Hill, PA) spent two summers at the Aspen Music Festival where he appeared as soloist with the Aspen Sinfonia Concertante. Noah is Assistant Head of Piano at tonebase, a company producing innovative and high-quality teaching videos featuring the world’s top pianists, and also heads the Project Committee at the Adamant Music School in Vermont. Noah has studied intensively with Moscow Conservatory artists and graduated magna cum laude from Rice University with Distinction in Research and Creative Works. He is currently pursuing a doctorate at Shenandoah University in the studio of John O’Conor.


Shawn Hatfield

Shawn Hatfield is a music instructor, audio engineer, and composer from Northern Virginia. He proficiently teaches rock, funk, classical, jazz, pop, indie and enjoys all music. In addition to teaching music, Shawn enjoys teaching music production and recording as well. If you're interested in learning to play an instrument, compose your own music, or record a song, Shawn is your guy!

David Bilowus

Piano - Voice - Composition

David Michael Bilowus holds a Master’s degree in piano performance and Bachelors of Fine Arts degrees in voice and piano from the State University of New York in Buffalo, where he also taught piano.  He studied piano and pedagogy with Livingston Gearhart and Carlo Pinto. He has also studied at the Eastman School of Music, the Chautauqua Music Institute, the University of Southern California, and at the University of North Texas. While in California, he studied the Russian technique of piano playing with Surajeet Chatterji.


Mr. Bilowus has performed in many locations around the world including Ukraine, France, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Greece, Mexico, Canada, and many locations in the United States. Bilowus has served on the music faculty at universities where he taught piano, voice, and directed choirs, stage band, and orchestra. He has also served as the music director of churches in Virginia and North Carolina. Additionally, he was selected by the Texas Commission on the Arts to serve as a distinguished artist-in-residence at several schools in Texas, where he taught students how to compose their own music. He was also selected by the Texas Commission on the Arts and the Mid-America Arts Alliance to perform throughout Texas and Mid-America.

David has been teaching piano and voice for over 30 years, and he enjoys inspiring and encouraging students of all ages to develop their skills in music. Davidis a prolific composer and arranger, and continues to release numerous recordings that are often featured on his website, DavidMichaelBilowus.com.
